.61-.91 Size, 1/7 Scale Sport Model Kit

From warrior to winning racer.
In 1942, Britain's Royal Air Force saw the need for a good long-range fighter...but it was the Royal Navy which picked up the Fury and introduced it to their Air Fleet in 1948. Christened "Sea Fury," it proved a capable warrior, and in 1949 set a speed record flying from London to Rome. No surprise, then, that the former warbird is often seen today at such events as the Reno Air Races—which in 1999 featured eight Sea Fury contenders.
- CAD-engineered wood parts interlock perfectly for fast, easy assembly—fiberglass cowl and ABS details add impressive realism with minimal effort.
- Dual aileron servos simplify set-up, add precision to control response, and provide the safety of a backup in case one servo fails.
- An effective combination of Selig 8036 and 8037 airfoils offers a slow stall speed, excellent stall resistance and superior handling throughout the rpm range.
- Top Flite's attention to realism in this Gold Edition kit extends to placing the tailwheel at the scale location—and including tips in the instructions for creating an arrestor hook and 5-bladed static display prop.
- Heavy-duty wire landing gear is provided, or you can add optional, standard pneumatic retracts—available custom-designed for this kit from Century Jet Models and from Robart.

Carry the Sea Fury's scale realism as far as you like, with numerous accessories and building options available. For example, the kit's detailed, photo-illustrated instruction manual shows how to build these striking split flaps—which are fully operational! |

The hand-laid, gel-coated fiberglass cowl is strong, lightweight, and a good example of the quality found throughout this kit. Top Flite also includes many easy-to-install ABS details—radiator scoop, wing blisters, landing gear doors. |

 |
The Sea Fury's wing features fully interlocking, lock-and-tab construction for fast, easy assembly. The wing fairing is built up for a perfect fit, and the all-balsa exterior offers an ideal surface for finishing. |
